Joy is a grace, a gift from our Creator to help us remember our own divinity.

Joy is what we feel when we raise our own vibration and it in turn makes us lighter and brighter. It’s a very subjective emotion – what brings joy to one may not necessarily bring the same level of joy to another.  When we open ourselves to Joy; when we consciously open our awareness to joy, our lives can change dramatically. The feeling of wellbeing that it brings leaves us wanting more and so we start to look for and appreciate more, the things that bring us joy. There are so many sources of this powerful emotion that it’s as though God wanted to ensure that we were constantly reminded of His love. Colours, creatures, sounds, touches, smells – our very senses seem to have been created to bring joy into our lives.

Joy comes from our hearts. To me it feels like pure love and it’s very difficult to contain; it leaps from our hearts and touches those around us. It makes a connection to the universal heart, the heart of our Creator and in that moment of pure joy we remember our oneness.

There is also profound joy to be experienced in release and acceptance. We all carry with us a level expectation of how things should be. We are encouraged from a young age to set goals and work steadfastly toward reaching them – these goals are usually related to survival and the material aspects of our lives. Once we discover and can work with the universal laws, in even the most simplistic from, we are able to allow and accept, to rediscover the joy in our lives. Once we start to remember who we really are and accept that we have chosen to be here, we are able to start looking for the grace in our particular circumstances, the lesson to be learned or taught, the opportunities to choose and create our lives here. This notion is incredibly liberating – we are responsible and accountable and nothing is inevitable unless we choose for it to be so. For me this knowing brought a sense of personal empowerment and joy. I wake up in the morning and I get to choose to remember and it affects how I deal with every aspect of my day – it helps me to find the grace in the pain and to look for every opportunity to find joy.  Blessed indeed am I.

Rose love and blessings

Then a woman said, “Speak to us of Joy and Sorrow.”

And he answered:

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.

And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.

And how else can it be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?

And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, “Joy is greater than sorrow,” and others say, “Nay, sorrow is the greater.”

But I say unto you, they are inseparable.

Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.

Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.

When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

I would like to add to the newsletter as I sit here writing knowing Mums funeral is tomorrow.

Thank you  Rose Sisters for your loving energetic support.

My first day of living with the knowledge my mother had passed away, felt like I had been hit with a Mac truck right in the sacral chakra. It was as if my umbilical cord area was being ripped out of me. It took 2 days for that dreadful energy to settle.

In those 2 days I saw my mother calm and peaceful a beautiful loving energy which brought me great joy. I felt so happy she was at peace and free of the ties that held us together, we were no longer tied to each other.

My mother and I had had a difficult relationship for many years. I feel that these last 20 years I have been working on clearing my issues with her has paid off.

We spent some happy times together in these last few years. It gives me great joy to know she is in a peaceful place.

Many thanks

The Rose Companion Card:   JOY

Pleasure and happiness come in many forms and manifestations and sometimes an encounter with another living creature facilitates not only pure joy but enables learning and wisdom about life and life’s lessons.

A little feline soul I named Tygercatt appeared at my Cottage in La Fiora during the spring of 2017.We were immediately adopted and became enamoured of the highly spirited little huntress as she scaled the Olive Trees, basked in the sun and indulged her gourmet Italian tastes at mealtimes. Pecorino and Prosciutto were her favourites!

She stayed with us the whole summer and saying goodbye was heart-wrenching when we left in the fall of that year. Sadly she did not make it through the cold winter. The Cottage was not the same without her happy energy this year, although I know she is with us in Spirit as I saw her one moonlit evening gazing up at the house from the Wall next to the Olive Trees.

Sometimes life presents short periods of great joy and delight…when our hearts are so free, so alive and our senses feel exhilarated and life is just amazing

The gift of unconditional love, as was given to us in the case of Tyger allowed a special communion with Higher Realms and with the Creator of all creatures. I designed this card in memory of her and just gazing at it expands my consciousness…I believe joy stays forever in our DNA and joy is one of the most powerful and transformative emotions gifted to us by the Goddess.

Beauty, Joy and Italy
Leslina Fanelli

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us, and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing”.

So, said the great Romantic poet John Keats…

Venus is the planet and the Goddess associated with beauty and Italy is a Venus ruled country. The Divine Feminine is exalted within this culture and beauty is worshipped in all its forms.

Spending months in Italy every year, I feel blessed to soak up its vibrancy…. just being in its luxuriant energy infuses pure joy and radiance into every day I spend there.

Here are some moments of joy from 2018:

As CS Lewis said:

“I feel joy the most when I’m not thinking about myself, but when I’m completely in the moment”.

Love and Blessings to all.

And finally……….turn up the volume and listen to this version of Beethoven’s ODE TO JOY!
